The founders of Blueprint Earth, a Portland based landscape construction design firm focused on cultivating sustainable outdoor spaces

THE FOUNDERS

Blueprint Earth started out as a husband and wife duo, Brit and Eric Sastrawidjaya. One part landscape designer/contractor, one part arborist, two parts passion for bettering the environment around us.

We are deeply rooted in the green industry with over a decade of experience each. We use our leadership to foster a team of designers and contractors who drive your garden project every step of the way.

From design through build, curating your garden (and the experience of making it come to life) is our magic.

THE design TEAM

Born and raised in the PNW, Landscape Designer Camille is deeply connected to this region. With a background in art, farming, and floristry, her design practice is inspired by a deep appreciation for the natural world. She focuses on creating resource-efficient landscapes by using local materials, climate-adaptive plants, and innovative stormwater solutions.

Camille hopes that by caring for our landscapes, we can build a stronger connection to the places we call home. Her dream job? Transforming unused parking lots into pocket parks.

Outside of work, Camille enjoys gardening, spending time with her toddler, and painting (under her alter-ego, Camille Shu. You can see her work here.).

The founders of Blueprint Earth hold a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University. They are certified as G3 Waterwise Landscape Professionals, EPA WaterSense Professionals, Oregon Licensed Landscape Contractors, and

OUR ETHOS & WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

Living in the Northwest we see copious amounts of rain. From the first drop of water that runs from your roof, to the vast ecosystem alive in the soil, to the tops of the canopy overhead, we appreciate thoughtful interpretation of a landscape's needs for a natural water source. This perspective is what makes us a unique landscape firm.

How we can leverage stormwater’s potential to support life around your home is often the most important consideration in our designs. We aim to create a symbiosis between human needs, xeric flora, high design and responsible stormwater management. With this, we are the kind of team that creates design trends, rather than follow them.
