OUR PROCESS

  • Let's hop on the phone to talk about your vision, style, timeline, phasing goals and budget.

  • We'll walk through your garden, talk about how your garden could layout, organize a game plan and assess how we can accomplish your goals.

  • After our walk through, you'll receive a written proposal for the design phase of the project.

  • At our first design meeting, we'll review a concept board and some preliminary drawings about the look, feel and material or plant selection for the project.

  • With your first version of construction documentation, we'll review the documents together while walking through the project. We'll critique any pieces that need adjustments and we'll update our drawings.

  • Your final design drawings will be presented. Hopefully, we've hit the nail on the head. We'll adjust any minor changes and get the documents over to the construction team.

  • We'll hand the docs over to the construction team and get the bids ready to present to you.

  • It's time to build! We'll have an approved bid, set of documents and get your construction lined up.

 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Most of our projects range between $50,000 and $200,000. However, we also take on projects outside this range, including larger installations with features like pools and pool houses, as well as smaller, more compact landscapes. Whatever your vision, we’re here to chat and ensure we’re a good fit for your needs and budget.

Before construction begins, we start with our master plan service, which typically costs between $6,000 and $10,000. This includes all the essential design documentation you’ll need. Investing in the master plan ensures that every detail is carefully considered, making the entire construction process smooth and seamless.

  • Absolutely! We offer flexible phasing options to fit your needs and budget. Our process begins with a detailed master plan design, which helps us outline the entire project and determine the most effective sequence for construction. We usually recommend breaking the project into phases of $15,000 or more to ensure meaningful progress and efficient management. This approach allows us to deliver visible results while accommodating your financial and scheduling preferences.

  • A master plan is your detailed guide for turning your landscape dreams into reality. Here’s what you can expect:

    • Demolition Plan: Shows which areas will be removed or changed.

    • Grading Plan: Details how the land will be shaped and leveled.

    • Hardscape Plan: Maps out non-plant elements like patios, paths, and walls.

    • Planting Plan: Lists the types and locations of plants.

    • Lighting Plan: Designs the placement of outdoor lighting for both beauty and functionality.

    • Irrigation Plan: Plans the irrigation system to keep everything looking great.

    • Stormwater Plan: Manages drainage to prevent flooding and erosion.

If your project includes special features like pergolas, decks, pools, hot tubs, or custom furniture, we might also provide 3D models to help you visualize these elements.

Our master plan service typically costs between $6,000 and $10,000, covering all the design documentation you’ll need. This investment ensures every detail is thoughtfully planned, making the entire construction process smooth and seamless.

  • To kick off your project, simply send us a note at hello@be.land with some details about your vision. Our design team will reach out to schedule an initial phone call. We’re excited to hear about your ideas, learn about your family, how you like to entertain, and your outdoor lifestyle. During this call, we’ll explain our process and make sure we’re a great fit for each other. If it seems like we’re on the same page, we’ll arrange a garden walkthrough to explore how we can bring your vision to life.

  • Yes, absolutely! If you already have a master plan, we’d be delighted to bring it to life. Just provide us with the details, and we’ll work closely with you to ensure everything is built according to your design team’s vision. If you need any adjustments or extra support along the way, we're here to assist every step of the way!
